Rachel DeRouen graduated with a BFA in Acting from Texas State University and currently resides in Austin, Texas. Her stage credits include originating roles in new works such as Elsie in Adult by Association by Kevin Talley and Brennan in From A to Double D (pictured behind on the full site) written by Mandy Murphy and Directed/Workshopped by Neil Patrick Stewart. She has also starred as Margot in Legally Blonde the Musical, May in Fool for Love, Rose Freedman in Triangle Factory Fire Project, and Gayle/Sandrine in Almost, Maine. Rachel’s most notable film credits include Wendy in Maybe Shower, Shannon in Looking for a Good Time, Chloe in Beyond the Night, Krissy in Whiskey and a Water a short film written /directed by Michael Musselman for the Water, Texas Film Contest, and she had the opportunity to work with John Ridley, Timothy Hutton, and Hope Davis as a Stand-in on American Crime Season 2. Rachel has trained with Laurel Vouvray (Meisner), Kaitlin Hopkins (acting songs technique), Bob Krakower and Sally Allen (on-camera workshop), Mona Lee (on camera acting class) and Cathryn Sullivan (various on-camera intensives). She can sing, dance, drive ATVs and dirt bikes, is adept at many sports and specialty voices, and is trained in stage combat (Hand-to-hand, Single Sword, and Bow/quarter staff).
